Nestled in the family room, log stove blazing and hot water bottle cradled, Haley sets aside her glamorous lifestyle to finish studies before going back to school this next week.

"Avoiding the Towel"

I read somewhere that throughout life dogs maintain an emotional level of a two year old human. This picture is a good example: after taking a nice walk with Parker in the snow we returned to find Annie waiting with a towel to dry Parker's wet feet. Parker, with two year old charm, declares he would rather play with Mr. Monkey.

"Fallen Bamboo"

Woke up this morning to find our potted bamboo plants overturned. I am fascinated to think as an act of self-preservation, the bamboo would fall over before breaking under the weight of the snow.

Snow Portrait!

First snow this winter. I grab everyone and we head outside. It's late, going on 8pm because Annie and I just got off work. Haley and Parker had just picked us up. It was so beautiful outside we just had to get a picture!

"Christmas Cats" Out for our morning walk, Parker and I chance upon two denizens of Forest Grove. Huddling together against the cold morning elements these cats provide a stark contrast to the warmth projected during our yearly Christmas season.
