Peppers. Pears. Squash. Tomatoes.

It's Corn Time!

Once again, thanks to the generosity of Mom and Dad, we have this great corn! It came directly from the farm and Annie cooked it, and then froze it so we can have an entire year of sweet goodness.

Annie with Lemon Cucumber

This summer we got lucky. We found some great lemon cucumber plants and at a garage sale we found a foldable "plant triangle". Combined together equals bliss for Annie! (picture taken in our back yard)

We Celebrate 4th of July at ROCKAWAY!

Haley listens to tunes while the crowds build...

It's dark enough to begin...

I think they are enjoying it!

Special Delivery from the Philippines!

What a nice surprise! Annie recently met a wonderful lady who is also from Lipa in the Philippines. Her son just visited and returned from there. He took some gifts there for us and in return Annie's mom sent us a care package full of letters, candies, photos and other great treats from the Philippines. I know how exciting it is to box up treats and bargains to send there so I can imagine it was great fun for our family there to have this chance to do the same for us. Maraming Salamat!

Finally! Haley hits the 12 year mark!

After the wonderful trip to the beach last weekend (see following), Haley spent a quiet day with Mom and Dad today on her birthday. A minor disappointment was an eBay purchase made two weeks ago that didn't arrive. On the plus side, there were plenty of presents from Grandma and Grandpa, her friends, and a few extras from Mom and Dad. She even received well wishes from aunts and uncles and cousins in the Philippines. All in all, a very nice birthday for our wonderful daughter!

This is May 22nd, last Sunday, and Haley had the distinct pleasure of taking two of her good friends, Holly and Emily, to the beach to celebrate her upcoming birthday. We chose to go one weekend early because her birthday weekend is the Memorial Day holiday and we fully expect massive traffic to and from the beach.

Oh yeah! And here's Annie taking a moment to chat on her cell phone while standing on Rockaway Beach. Notice the beautiful weather!

And just for reference... Here's Haley one year ago at the same table in the same house! So cute!!

Nikes in the sky...

Memorial Day Weekend and these nike's are getting a well-deserved airing out.

Oh, and this picture was digitally altered by a free software product, Picasa! I was really surprised at all the edit features. This is the same software company owned by Google that uses "Hello" to post to this blog. Check it out ---> Picasa!

A Nice Quiet Mother's Day...

Annie woke up to Cafe Mocha Latte this morning. We bought her this little french press and some malaysian ground coffee. Haley used the "Bullet" blender to froth the milk with cocoa and whip some cream. She then made a great pancake breakfast.

After church we visited Mom and Dad at the farm and spent some time. The night before, Annie called her Mom in the Philippines to wish her a nice mother's day. Unfortunately, her mom was at a wedding so Melly was given the message.
