Game #5, Win but Haley is Out With Sprained Ankle

Haley misses the game against Chehalem Valley Middle School (Newberg). At the end of the school day, in life fitness class, Haley sprained her ankle while playing, of all things, basketball. The teachers/coaches iced her up and said they wanted her to stay home and get her ankle back to normal.

Later, Coach David called to check on Haley. Let us know the girls and he were really disappointed that Haley couldn't play. He said each time the group broke from their huddle, instead of their usual, "Knuckle Chuckle!!" , they yelled, "HALEY!!". He said it was a close and tough game but they did win and he said the girls won the game for Haley. Wow!

Game #4, Win!

Haley with some of her teammates after their game #4 win against Woodburn team, French Prairie Middle School. (56-12) Annie was able to come for the start of the game, but had to leave early for a work meeting. She got to see Haley make a few points and really didn't want to leave.

Uniforms for the Classic Basketball season

Haley, Alexis (left), and Michelle (right), ham it up for the camera as they wait to receive their uniforms for the "Classic" team. Although regular season games for the classics begin after the Titan season, they will be going to tournaments beginning this weekend, thus, time for uniforms!

Thanksgiving 2006

Thanksgiving Day! Lori generously secured a nice place in Hillsboro to host our Thanksgiving get-together. Here we see two of the youngest girls, Haley and Jessica, at the feasting table.

Everyone but Annie, Joelle, and Gary Lee Jr. were able to make it.

Game #2, Getting Congratulations

Haley and Grandma after basketball game #2 in Dallas, Oregon. (Haley's team won 54-12!)

Mom and I made a day of this. We left earlier in the day and went to Falls City, where we were able to spend the afternoon with Aunt Bob. (Aunt Bob is Mom's oldest Sister. She gave mom some copies of pictures from when they were little girls, and showed us some of the neat crafts she is working on.)

The La Creole Middle school is beautiful. It is just down the street from an absolutely awesome aquatic center. Haley got to play in the main gymnasium. The other team was nice and polite, Haley's team played and acted professionally.

After the game I got this special picture. We said goodbye to Haley (she rides home in the bus with the other girls, stopping at McDonalds for dinner on the way...lucky girl!) and then we headed home. I got lost once, missing a turnoff at Rickreal, and had to travel an extra three miles to get turned around. Other than that, there wasn't too much stress. I really enjoyed the day. And it was great that Haley's grandma could come out for a traveling game.

Game #1, Lady Titans Basketball Season Begins!

Haley and Becca after their team's win. (Annie was able to come to Haley's first game. I am not good company to sit next to because I am taping games to put on DVD for the coaches and for our own library).
Haley showing us her jersey.
Haley's First Basketball Game for her eighth grade "A" team. (they won 54-06)
After the first basketball game... you can see the winning score in the upper right corner (54-06). Behind Haley, picture left, is Michelle (coach's daughter), and picture right, Alexis, who goes to a private school but comes to NAMS to play basketball.
After the game, team members help fold up the grandstands...

Haley at Game #9, Hillsboro, Oregon

Annie finally has a chance to come see Haley play. She picked the windiest, coldest, rainiest day though... Posted by Picasa
